When it comes to installing the package, the steps should not be much of a hassle because each manufacturer tries to make them as easy as possible usually, you must make check for compatibility, get the package, run the available setup, and follow the instructions displayed on-screen. Doing so might cause the installation to crash, which could even render the device unusable. Please note that, even though other operating systems might also be compatible, we do not recommend you apply any software on platforms other than the specified ones. If you install this package, your device will be properly recognized by compatible systems, and might even benefit from new features or various bug fixes. Close the wizard and perform a system reboot to allow changes to take effect. Read EULA (End User License Agreement) and agree to proceed with the installation process. Allow Windows to run the file (if necessary). Locate and double-click on the available setup file. Unzip the file and enter the newly-created directory. Save the downloadable package on an accessible location (such as your desktop). Please read the manual of DDJ-SR for further functionality. Find more details at AUDIO Setup The unit has a pre-defined Audio setup and a special button in the AUDIO tab of Config to provide that. The factory default Mapping offers the functions described in this Manual, however those can be adjusted to your needs via VDJ Script actions. MIDI Operation The unit should be visible in the CONTROLLERS tab of Config and the “ factory default” available/selected from the Mappings drop-down list. The unit is now ready to operate with VirtualDJ. You can still change that from Settings->AUDIO tab.
Click on the " Use Soundcard" button if speakers are connected to the Master Output of the DDJ-SR. A detection window will appear next asking to use or not the pre-defined audio setup with the built-in sound card of the DDJ-SR. Without any of the above Licenses, the controller will operate for 10 minutes each time you restart VirtualDJ.
A Pro Infinity or a Pro Subscribtion License is required to fully use the Pioneer DDJ-SR.
